Summon it
Set a global hotkey (a Ctrl / ⌘ / Alt combo, or F1–F12) or click the dock: Launcher expands fullscreen over your wallpaper. Esc or a click on empty space puts it away.
LAUNCHER · THE LAUNCHER INSIDE MESQ
Press your hotkey and the Launcher expands fullscreen over your wallpaper: type to search, Enter to open, Esc to put it away. It is a launcher, not another bookmarks page.
WORKFLOW
From summon to an open site, your hands never leave the keyboard—that is what separates a launcher from a bookmarks page.
Set a global hotkey (a Ctrl / ⌘ / Alt combo, or F1–F12) or click the dock: Launcher expands fullscreen over your wallpaper. Esc or a click on empty space puts it away.
No search box to click. Matches rank by name prefix, tag, and URL. Esc clears the query; press it again to dismiss the Launcher.
Arrow keys move through the grid, Enter opens the primary link, and a corner button jumps straight to a site’s backup URL. Every visit is recorded for analytics.
ORGANIZE
Folders, pinning, sorting, and browse styles exist so the next lookup takes one second: drag-to-merge previews live, and sort order saves as you drag.
Drop one tile onto another to merge, or drop it into a tag folder; the merged icon preview appears before you release.
Open, backup link, pin, edit, and delete live in the context menu; folders rename inline or dissolve in one click.
Custom order, name, date added (newest or oldest), last used, least recently used, never used—drag sorting saves as you go.
Flip full pages (also with ⌘/Ctrl+←→) or scroll vertically through the whole library screen by screen.
PERSONAL & RELIABLE
Upload a wallpaper to fill the Launcher background—JPG, PNG, BMP, WEBP, or GIF. Site icons come from a URL or a local upload, with a graceful fallback when there is none.
Full arrow-key navigation, Enter to open, Esc to back out level by level, and inline rename that never breaks your keyboard flow.
Sites, ordering, tags, and icons follow your account. When a site changes or disappears on another device, you choose the latest version or keep editing; offline edits are never silently lost.
FOR WHO?
CAPACITY
Enough to build a serious private link workspace.
For people whose work depends on a durable private link library.
Bookmarks are a tree you dig through; the Launcher is a screen you summon. A hotkey expands it fullscreen, typing searches instantly, and you get folders, pinning, six sort modes, paged or scrolling views, and account sync.
Press your custom global hotkey (a combo containing Ctrl / ⌘ / Alt, or a lone F1–F12), or click the dock icon. Start typing the moment it appears—matches rank by name prefix, tag, and URL. Esc clears; press again to dismiss.
Yes. Arrow keys move through the grid, Enter opens a site, ⌘/Ctrl+←→ flips pages, and Esc backs out level by level: first the query, then the folder, then the Launcher itself.
All three. Settings cover the global hotkey, wallpaper upload and management (deleting the active one restores the default), and per-site icon URLs or local image uploads.
Everything syncs with your account. If a site changes or disappears on another device, a conflict dialog lets you take the latest version or keep editing; offline edits are blocked explicitly, never silently lost.
Yes. The Launcher is an account-level workspace holding only your own sites, ordering, tags, icons, and visit history.
